Basically, you will need a solar panel to convert sunlight into DC electricity; a battery to keep the electrons ready for future use; a storage device to secure it well; a DC input device to transfer charge from the battery to the appliance; and an inverter to power AC current devices.
Assemble the Parts
This is the most fun part of building your own solar power generator. First off, make holes in the battery box using a power drill. This will enable you to hook your DC input device up and your reading meter as well.
After doing so, connecting the wires will be the next task. Connect the inverter to the battery with the wires, then connect the negative wire into the battery’s negative pole and the positive wire, respectively. Make sure that you connect each wire one at a time to ensure safety habits.
Next, attach the DC input device and solar panel to the battery. Close the lid on the battery box and make sure to leave plenty of space of extra wire so you can position the solar panel in a place where it can catch sunlight.
